Ultra High Speed AES cores
The Helion Giga AES core family is our very highest rate solution, aimed at applications which require tens of Gigabits per second throughput. This core is truly scaleable, so you can choose exactly the amount of processing power that your application requires. It is perfect for many demanding applications, for example optical networking, multi-channel video encryption or securing server-class data storage. The result is a core with extremely high throughput capabilities, which is available for use in the majority of ASIC and FPGA technologies.
The Giga AES family forms a very powerful and flexible platform, and can be specified to support full AES encryption and decryption using any combination of the three AES key sizes (128-, 192-, and 256-bits). It can be used to implement many of the common block cipher modes as well as many of the more recent complex modes. For example, recent developments towards a standard for securing "Data at Rest" has produced a requirement for very high rate AES-XTS (previously AES-XEX) and AES-GCM mode support, and the Helion Giga AES platform is ideally suited to fulfilling this need.
Clearly this core offers massive throughput, but what also sets it apart is the care and attention we have applied to making this performance easy to access. Helion's many years of experience in developing highly flexible security system components has been fully utilised to make this Giga AES platform the most usable solution of its type.
