The block is an ultra-low-power differential, temperature sensor element designed in TSMC 180nm process.
The circuit is for use in conjunction with Bandgap/Bias S3BGN3T18 and ADC S3ADS20M12BT18 or similar.
The circuit produces a differential analog output voltage proportional to the temperature. The temperature range is 0ºC to +70ºC with temperature resolution ±0.1ºC and the typical absolute accuracy is <±2ºC over 15 to 40 ºC following calibration and averaging.
The circuit is suitable to solutions were an intermittent temperature sensing function is needed to decrease system power consumption.
The circuit occupies a very low die area and can be cost-effectively ported across foundries and process nodes upon request.
