Silex Insight联手Wave Computing为企业和汽车市场提供具有安全意识的人工智能(AI)平台
September 5, 2019 -- Silex Insight, a leading provider for flexible security IP cores, and Wave Computing®, the Silicon Valley company that is accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) from the data center to the edge, announce their collaboration in delivering a combined solution for security-conscious semiconductor designers incorporating IP from both Wave (MIPS) and Silex Insight.
AI systems require a safe and secure platform for updating AI algorithms, AI models and securing data that has privacy concerns. These proliferating security-conscious applications are especially important to the enterprise and automotive markets, which include all devices that are network connected.
The partnership provides a combined platform comprised of Wave’s MIPS Open IP (or MIPS commercial CPU IP) platforms, along with Silex Insight’s automotive-grade security eSecure IP platform.
- eSecure acts as a programmable Root-of-Trust. At its center is a secure controller that takes full control over all security functions, especially those that shield the system’s secrets such as encryption keys from the main applications running on the product. The module also contains a scalable cryptographic engine supporting symmetric and asymmetric operations, secure debugging capability, authentication of components, firmware and application software, advanced anti-tampering features, protection against side-channel attacks, a secure storage interface, and much more.
- MIPS Open is the first free, silicon-proven architecture available for open use without license fees. It offers a unified approach and is based on mature MIPS CPU technology. SoC designers can also easily upgrade from MIPS Open IP to the full-featured, high-performance, commercial MIPS processor IP platform, which is automotive- qualified. Billions of devices have been shipped based on proven MIPS IP.
“Data security is at the forefront today, and we are excited to collaborate with Silex Insight to develop integrated platforms that solve security issues for our collective users, as the need for AI, enterprise and automotive applications and use cases evolve”, said Steve Brightfield, Senior Director, Strategic AI IP Marketing at Wave Computing.“Silex Insight’s eSecure IP platform brings great value to this integrated solution”.
“Silex Insight is committed to developing solutions that combat the constantly accelerating threats to data security. Collaborating with Wave allows us to make headway in areas that most affect the enterprise”, commented Janssen Liston, Vice President of Sales and GM North America of Silex Insight. “We are thrilled that our eSecure IP module in conjunction with and Wave Computing’s MIPS Open and MIPS platforms deliver a security solution which is available now”.
Both Wave (MIPS) and Silex Insight lead the industry with vision and value for secure dataflow, with a large installed base of applications, especially in the enterprise and automotive markets. Both companies support ISO 26262, and have notable automotive customer engagements.
