32bit 33/66MHz PCI Core w/Cardbus support
The Inventra™ MPCI32 PCI Peripheral Soft Core implements the PCI Master/Target function for 32bit peripherals connecting to a 32bit PCI Bus. The core is factory-configurable for up to 6 Target channels and for many other PCI features including power management and BIOS ROM support. It can also be implemented as a Target-only device if required. The target channels may have either a simple register file interface or they can interface to dual FIFOs. The FIFO option offers both increased performance and support for delayed reads and posted writes. There is also the option of dual FIFOs and DMA interfacing on the master channel. Versions are available for running at either 33MHz or at 66MHz. The design is fully compliant with v2.2 of the PCI local bus standard. It also fully supports the CLKRUN# power management protocol and the Cardbus specification, including CSTSCHG Status Changed Notification and Wakeup protocol. It will be ideal for use in PCI peripheral cards, embedded PCI bus drivers and PCI host bridge applications.
